What it is
Midjourney generates images from text prompts. It is known for a polished default aesthetic and has offered a web app in addition to its earlier Discord workflow. For a long stretch it was sold as a subscription without a standing free plan. Confirm whether that is still true before you send someone there.
Midjourney has sold subscriptions rather than a permanent free tier. A trial or a free allowance may exist at times. Confirm the current plans on the official site. Dollar amounts were not copied.
Why it ranks
- Strong default aesthetic for concept images
- Text-to-image as the whole product
- Web app in addition to the older Discord flow
Watch outs
- You may need a paid plan before you can generate anything
- Commercial-use terms depend on the plan. Read them.
